It has been all hands on deck for Executive Edge Travel Co-Founder and Head of Leisure, Yvonne Verstandig and her terrific team as they all lend support to acclaimed Australian family owned and operated fashion business, Fella Hamilton in producing much-needed reusable cloth face masks to combat the rigours of COVID-19.Yvonne’s sister, Fella Hamilton Chief Executive Officer, Sharon Hamilton has been inundated with major orders for masks from hospitals, government entities and corporate companies and from individuals throughout Australia.
The masks form part of the new Fella Hamilton Healthcare range which also includes hospital scrubs and gowns being rolled out by this iconic Australian fashion house, formed in 1969 by Melbourne identity, Fella Hamilton.
At the same time this new extension of Fella Hamilton’s business is ensuring the ongoing employment of its many loyal staff including designers, pattern makers, machinists, cutters, production team, mail order and dispatch staff – and the team from Executive Edge Travel whilst awaiting a return to their global travel operations.
The result has been an overwhelming response for PPE across Australia and Fella Hamilton is working around the clock to meet the demand of its many orders – initially producing 25,000 masks per week.
The navy blue ‘aspiration range’ is popular amongst the corporates, including some with logos.
Water resistant options come in a multitude of colours and a variety of patterned masks form the ranges, ‘courageous’, ‘valiant’, ‘intrepid’, ‘hero’ and ‘brave’.
Yvonne said Sharon was thrilled when she asked if the Executive Edge Travel team could assist with the heavy administration workload involved with the customer service liaison, packing of masks and sending out orders at this busy time for Fella Hamilton.
