In search of your next holiday destination? World’s leading full-service online travel brand Expedia® and  HomeAway™, a world leader in holiday home rentals, jointly reveal this year’s most popular travel destinations amongst Singaporeans. From uncovering themes across air travel and holiday home stays, to the best time to book flight and accommodations, as well as travellers’ favourite experiences, the trend report provides key insights and everything Singaporean travellers need to know to navigate the year ahead.

“As travellers today become increasingly savvy with planning for their holidays, demand for newer experiences and greater value for money services is growing year-over-year. When we looked at where Singaporeans travelled to in 2019, the strong demand for intra-Asia travel really shone through, along with some unexpected destinations that indicate a growing appetite for unusual travel destinations in the coming year. Being able to meet the needs of every kind of traveller is our driving force at Expedia, and why we strive to make it easy and affordable to find the perfect accommodation for any trip and bundle it with flights or experiences for even more savings,” says Gabriel Garcia, Senior Director of Mobile Marketing and App Ecosystems, Expedia.

“Singaporean travellers are increasingly appreciative of the benefits of staying in a holiday home. As HomeAway only offers whole homes, travellers love the privacy as well as the space to connect with their loved ones, be it in a beachfront house, a private pool villa or a traditional ryokan. In our 2020 trend report, we are excited to reveal HomeAway’s most popular amenities and travel periods amongst Singaporeans and where families and groups of friends are likely to make travel memories in the year ahead,” added Judith Davidson, Regional Director, Asia, HomeAway.
