Explore How Golf Can Use Technology to Appeal to a Younger Generation

Representatives from Golf Genius Software and Hong Kong Golf & Tennis Academy will participate in the latest LinksAsia webinar.

How Does Golf Use Technology to Appeal to a Younger Generation is the topic for discussion on July 15 at 3 pm (Singapore time).

“Can golf use new technologies to move away from its traditional parameters to stay relevant to new generations who want more instant gratification and won’t spend four-plus hours on a golf course?” said a spokesperson for LinksAsia, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).

“How does golf use technology available to enhance traditional golf events and how can we bring the tech savvy younger generation to the game and keep their attention?”

Among the panellists will be Brisbane-based Peter Shaw, Director International Sales for Golf Genius, one of the world’s leading suppliers of tournament management solutions and a Full Business Member of the AGIF.

Also featuring prominently will be Kurt Greve, General Manager at the Hong Kong Golf & Tennis Academy, a Facility Member of the AGIF.

Joining Shaw and Greve will be Casper Schonfeldt, General Manager at Trump International Golf Club Dubai. The session will be is moderated by Kate Burton.

Other representatives from AGIF members who have taken part in LinksAsia webinars are Karen Proctor (Regional Sales Director, APAC – Textron Specialized Vehicles), Andy Johnston (General Manager and Director of Agronomy, Sentosa Golf Club), Rick Blackie (General Manager, Sutera Harbour Marina Golf & Country Club), John Blanch (General Manager, Thai Country Club), Cho Minn Thant (Chief Executive Officer, Asian Tour), Simon Mees (General Manager, KN Golf Links) and Mark Siegel (Managing Director, Golfasian). AGIF Chief Executive Officer Eric Lynge was a panellist on the first webinar.
