Leading adventure tour operator Explore has launched its new brochure for 2021, showcasing its range of Classic Discovery, Walking and Cycling adventures including the operator’s bestselling trips along with some new product for 2021.

Explore’s Head of Global Sales, Ben Ittensohn, says: “We’re excited to launch our latest brochure, which looks absolutely fantastic. We’re excited about the cross-selling opportunities this new ‘combi’ brochure will give agents, who may have customers that have traditionally only looked at our Classic Discovery programme in the past. We’re currently seeing increased demand for our walking and cycling holidays  – many people have become more active this year in lockdown and, with plenty of space and fresh air, these trips lend themselves well to social distancing – so we look forward to helping our agent partners grow their sales of our active trips.”

The operator has also launched seven brand new UK trips following the company’s recent travel survey, which revealed that Australian and New Zealand travellers are looking to take longer holidays than usual to make up for not being able to travel in 2020. For new bookings for 2021, Explore is seeing the average sale price up 10% which supports this finding. The new trips have been created in anticipation for customers to combine popular itineraries throughout Europe with an adventure trip in the UK that covers more than the well-trodden routes. The trips include Walk the Lake District , Cycle Hadrian’s Wall and a Snowdonia Walking Short Break.

Regarding changes made to the company’s operations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ittensohn says: “We’ve been busy creating comprehensive operating guidelines and new protocols for post-COVID trips, which have been guided by the World Travel and Tourism Council and local government regulations, so that your customers can continue to book and travel with confidence with Explore. Given the ever-changing nature of local rules and guidelines, our itineraries are under regular review and are adapted according to local requirements to ensure a safe travel experience. Our Explore leaders are all undergoing detailed training on COVID-19 and leading our trips in the ‘new normal’.”

Started in 1981, Explore celebrates 40 years as a leading specialist operator in 2021. The company was recently named Recommended Provider in the Tour Operator category 2020 by Which?, the UK’s largest independent consumer body.
