Today Mr. Tom Manwaring CEO of Express Travel Group (ETG), one of the largest independent travel organisations in the APAC region, signed a technology agreement with Mr. Russell Carstensen, the CEO of Aeronology. The pact covers all applications created by Aeronology implemented across ETG members throughout Australia and exclusively for First Travel Group (FTG) members in New Zealand commencing with ticketing, robotics, wholesale booking and payment services.

“This agreement compliments our truly independent business model. The ETG/FTG strategy is to ensure our customers hard work is rewarded with excellent returns. Our aim is to ensure our customers stay relevant and have their cost of sale the lowest in the market by using our tech and distribution. 2020 heralds a new and exciting direction for us and our partners. This tech even allows travel businesses in Australia and New Zealand can trade together off one platform” Mr. Manwaring explained.

“We are extremely proud to be working with Tom and the wider team to be part of their business solutions for his travel agent customers. I found his dedication to run a business with integrity and based on family values match my own.” Mr. Carstensen stated. “Our technology is new, the IP is created and developed within my team, it is globally ready and using API’s, web services, cloud computing, industry focused algorithms and AI will ensure we aren’t always playing catch up. Tom has invested into some of the best travel technology in the world and we, at Aeronology, are ecstatic to support his business vision. Aeronology is developing connections via NDC and direct connect with LCC’s. Our R&D team are studying the new distribution services such as One Order and One ID and are working closely with IATA to be one of the first to use this new tech.” Mr. Carstensen explained.

“The key for our long-term relationship is to ensure we don’t compete with our customers, but to support and help each business grow. The days when agency groups actually compete with their members via corporate or wholesale services is obsolete and is in fact obscene”. Mr. Carstensen said.

“We will be rolling out the new services in the first quarter and will be looking for global partners to help support our members, even to a point of sharing the new transaction technology created by Aeronology.” Mr. Manwaring said.
