Resort representation company, World Resorts of Distinction (WRD), is thrilled to confirm that multi-award-winning Qamea Resort and Spa will remain open for 2020 and 2021.

WRD Networking & Marketing Manager, Amelia Gregor, said that after some deliberation from Qamea’s new owners, a decision has been made to keep the popular adults-only resort open for the next two years.

“While we’ve signed an NDA about the resort’s exciting plans post-2021 – which we will reveal in due course – we can happily confirm Qamea will be remaining open for the next two years and guests will be welcomed by the same warm, Fijian family that have adorned the island’s shores for years,” she said.

“The resort is fully operational and everything is business as usual. Our General Manager, Ronil, and his team are doing a phenomenal job on the ground, and the resort remains the number one option in Fiji for romance, honeymoon, surf and dive travellers.”

Under new ownership and management, the team at Qamea have implemented a number of updates this year to ensure the resort continues to create a luxury holiday experience for guests.

“There have been external and internal upgrades in the bures, including re-thatching on the outside and new varnished mahogany floors on the inside,” Amelia explained. “The resort gym has had a make-over, featuring a newly-raised roof to create a beautiful cool and airy space, along with transformational floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the ocean, and an overhaul of cardio workout equipment.”

“The resort has updated their wetsuits and snorkels, meaning guests can enjoy exploring the local world-class reefs with the very best equipment; and the famous on-site Jungle Spa’s opening hours have been extended until 7pm, allowing guests to enjoy being pampered as the sun goes down.”

“Plus, the resort have just purchased some surfboards for guest use, meaning there will be an opportunity for your guests to enjoy unlimited surfing on the untapped surf-breaks November-March,” she said.

Qamea Resort and Spa is an intimate boutique resort catering to a maximum of 32 adults with only sixteen luxuriously appointed and air-conditioned bures and exquisite royal beach houses with private pools, nestled among swaying coconut palms and verdant tropical gardens.

Set amidst 100 acres of lush landscaped gardens, bushland, and jagged volcanic South Pacific mountains that soar behind the property, the entire resort fronts onto a private white sand beach over a kilometre in length and is known as the most spectacular in Fiji’s northern island group.
