Broadway Inbound is pleased to announce five must-see shows have joined its Collection; The Cher Show, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Kiss Me Kate, The Prom and Be More Chill. Ranging from new-to-Broadway to classic shows, each will capture the hearts of travellers from Australia and around the globe this US autumn and winter travel season.

Fans of superstar Cher will be thrilled when The Cher Show opens at the Neil Simon Theatre on December 3, 2018. Telling the story of how she broke down barriers, pushed boundaries and let no one stand in her way, the new musical will have travellers dancing in their seats to 35 of the pop icon’s smash hits. Featuring three actresses as Cher, the show takes audiences through her six decades of stardom in a fabulously unique way.

The Prom will touch travellers of all ages with its huge heart and show-stopping numbers when it opens at the Longacre Theatre on November 15, 2018. An original musical comedy, The Prom tells the story of an Indiana high school student banned from bringing her girlfriend to the prom – and the group of former Broadway stars who head to the town to fight the injustice.

The revival of Kiss Me Kate, winner of the first-ever Tony Award for Best Musical, is set to shine when it returns in 2019. Filled with romance, passion, comedy, and a dash of Shakespeare, multigenerational travelers won’t want to miss this musical comedy heaven. Starring Tony Award-winner Kelli O’Hara, Kiss Me Kate officially opens as a limited engagement on March 14, 2019 at Studio 54.

Fans of Harper Lee’s prize-winning classic work will flock to the Shubert Theatre when To Kill a Mocking Bird opens on December 13, 2018. Featuring a script adapted by Academy Award-winner Aaron Sorkin, the play brings this famous openhearted dissection of justice and tolerance in the American South to life for the first time on the Broadway stage.

Making its Broadway debut after having amassed a viral following, Be More Chill will open at the Lyceum Theatre on February 13, 2019. Based on the book of the same name, Be More Chill tells the story of an average teenage boy, who finds the key to popularity – and all he has to do is take a pill. Exciting, funny and heartwarming, the show tackles the pressure of high school and how to find your own voice amongst the noise.

Rebecca George, Broadway Inbound Australia and New Zealand Trade Representative, says: “The autumn and winter months are always magical in New York City and on Broadway. With new shows to experience and old classics to rediscover, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout the 2018-2019 season.”

With these shows set to be a hit, Broadway Inbound advises travellers to book in advance through their preferred travel agent to secure the best prices and seats. For information on these shows and more in the Broadway Collection, visit
