The holiday airline Condor is beginning flights to summer destinations around the Mediterannean from Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF) in Summer 2020. With an Airbus A320 stationed in Berlin, Germany’s most popular holiday airline is heading back to the capital city. Together with Leipzig/Halle Airport, where Condor records the largest share of passengers of all airlines, Condor will then fly from the two large airports in the East of Germany.

Ralf Teckentrup, chairman of Condor managing directors: “We are pleased to return to Berlin-Schönefeld Airport with departures from Berlin. The great commitment of the tour operators simplifies the economic decision to offer connections to the destinations popular among people in Berlin and Brandenburg. Condor will even be the only airline to offer flights to the popular island of Samos in the Aegean Sea from Berlin. With the return to Berlin, the holiday airline Condor is represented at all the large airports.”

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “Condor is Germany’s traditional tourist airline. The flights to the Greek, Italian and Spanish islands that Condor is incorporating into the flight schedule in Summer 2020 are a good addition to the connections from Schönefeld for Summer 2020.”

Passengers can book the newly introduced Business Class from Berlin in Summer 2020: with exclusive access to the lounge, an empty middle seat in the front rows of the plane, free drinks and menu options, additional hand and checked baggage, free sports luggage and many other benefits. Condor is also expanding the tariff options in Economy Class in parallel: “Economy Best” offers, among others, more hand and checked baggage as well as free seat reservation. The new tariff is added to the classical Economy Class tariff and the “Economy Light” tariff, whereby passengers can travel at a particularly low cost with just hand baggage.
