Meet the Wineries

  • Demeter Zoltán – The winery was founded by Zoltán Demeter in 1996 with the aim to produce world-renowned Tokaj wines representing the variety and richness of the area. Their wine making techniques include harvest at extreme points of ripeness, whole-bunch pressing, fully purified must, selected yeast, fermented with classical music.
  • Bott Frigyes – Frigyes Bott is an indispensable figure of the Hungarian wine scene across the border and has been working for years to revive the Muzsla Hill. This historic wine region is enclosed inside the geographical centre of the triangle formed by the Garam River, the Danube, and the southern side of the hills of Muzsla in what used to be the vineyard of the Cathedral of Esztergom.
  • Jásdi Pince – Located in Csopak, the smallest wine region of Hungary next to Lake Balaton in an 18th century cellar, this winery was previously owned by the Bishop of Veszprem serving as the centre of the family wine estate establishing the reputation of the area. Today, the winery is owned by István Jásdi, founder of the Jásdi winery, previously an economist and now winemaker who received the “Winemaker of the Winemakers” title in 2017, elected by the top 60 winemakers of Hungary.
  • Kiss Gábor – Gábor Kiss is a prominent representative of the new generation of winemakers in Villany. He founded the family run winery in 1999 and since then they have been striving for outstanding quality, long maturity and uniqueness in their wines. The secret to their success lies in their philosophy defying fashion trends and instead applying focus to produce only the highest quality and most unique wines.
  • Takler – The Takler family has been growing grapes and making wines since the 1700s in the wonderful wine region of Szekszard. The winery reached excellent reputation in numerous national and international competitions. Ferenc Takler, the founder, was the “Winemaker of the Year” in 2004.  Their aim is to continue this work at the highest level, with more focus even on the smallest details and features to produce sensuous stylish wines representing Szekszard.
