Anguilla may be tiny in size (only 35 square miles or 90 square kilometres) but it has been touted by many as the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean. With more than 100 restaurants on island, visitors find a variety of excellent choices from barefoot BBQs to candlelit surf and turf.

With gastronomy in mind, the Anguilla Tourism Board is ushering in the very first celebration of food with a variety of festivals and special offers through April 28, 2019.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla is participating by featuring two- and three-course prix-fixe menus at Bamboo Bar and Grill. The lunch menu features first-course options of johnny cakes, guacamole or crispy calamari while main course offers the famous Bamboo salad with shrimp, grilled mahi mahi tacos, the Bamboo burger or a hot-from-the-oven margharita pizza.

The dinner bumps the options up one course with the addition of tempting desserts such as the johnny cake s’mores pizza. Entress include island favorites such as cherrywood smoked ribs or spiny lobster tails. The lunch menu is offered at USD 35 and the dinner USD 65.

Bamboo Bar and Grill is located on Meads Bay, ranked the best beach on Anguilla by the readers of USA Today’s 10 Best Caribbean Beaches. The restaurant is open daily and on Sundays features the Sunday Funday Brunch with a Bloody Mary Bar and live entertainment.

Dubed “Extraordinary Eats,” the two-week celebration includes the Festival Del Mar, the annual feast of seafood held in Island Harbour; The Famous Culinary Team Fundraiser; Bar Crawl Tours; and a Taste of the Strip, highlighting the local street food on the island’s main casual dining boulevard.
