The natural amphitheatre of Four Seasons Resort Seychelles is a setting that invites relaxation, making it the ideal location to host a one-day Yoga Festival in celebration of International Yoga day on June, 21, 2019.

The full day program will be led by resident Yogi Claudia Mosconi and the Resort’s newly appointed Naturopathic Doctor and Yogi Dr Deepu, with numerous events and activities open for guest participation. The Yoga Festival program will comprise:

  • 8:00 am – A short hike up from the Resort to a granitic plateau will set the scene for a clifftop opening ceremony to welcome the day, after which both yogis will guide guests through a calming mountain meditation session.
  • 9:30 am – After-hike healthy breakfast including wild berries, flax seeds and detox juices.
  • 10:30 am – A 60-minute Awakening Flow Yoga session in a private Residence Villa led by Claudia Mosconi, focusing on the freedom of movement and energy through both the body and mind.
  • 12:00 noon – Lunch at Kannel restaurant inclusive of a healthy vegan menu created for the occasion by Executive Chef Elie Fischmann.
  • 2:00 pm – Two hours of free time to enjoy the Resort’s facilities and the turquoise waters of Petite Anse bay.
  • 4:00 pm – Dr Deepu’s Pranayama session will help guests to connect to the tranquillity of their surroundings through a focus on breathing techniques designed to de-stress.
  • 6:00 pm – To close the day, a Chanting Meditation will be held on the rooftop of the hilltop spa by certified Vibrational Sound Therapist and Visiting Master to the Resort Susan Gwaltney.

Commenting on the Yoga Festival, General Manager Marcel Oostenbrink says: “Yoga is a key part of the Resort’s spa and wellness offerings and we are fortunate to enjoy a truly spectacular setting in which to practise this discipline – something we are always keen to share with as many visitors to our Resort as possible. International Yoga Day is a chance for us to encourage everyone to take part in some element of yoga, whether they practice regularly or are complete beginners.”

Throughout the year, both group and private yoga sessions tailored to all levels are available at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, with classes including Hatha Yoga, Power Yoga, Pilates, Spinal Care Yoga, Pranayama and Yogic Relaxation.
