Spread the love

In celebration of World Vegan Month (November), iconic dessert chain The Cheesecake Shop is teaming up with animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to give away more than 6,000 delicious vegan fudge slices across 170 Australian locations on Saturday, 28 November.

The slices, which will be available on the day in both Peanut Butter and Choc Almond flavours, join a Vegan Chocolate Cake and a Vegan Strawberry Choc Cake on The Cheesecake Shop’s menu, which is always growing to meet new consumer demand. In the spirit of sharing the animal-friendly love, PETA encourages vegans to help their non-vegan friends register for the giveaway and “give them a nudge with fudge” so they, too, can taste how delicious vegan treats are.

“Our delicious fudge slices prove that vegan treats don’t have to be bland. We encourage Australian vegans – and their non-vegan loved ones – to come along on 28 November to try a slice of vegan fudge heaven!” says The Cheesecake Shop Brand Manager Minu Kaneshakarnar.

“We’re thrilled to partner with The Cheesecake Shop to bring vegan fudge to the masses for free in a very sweet celebration of World Vegan Month,” says PETA Senior Outreach and Partnerships Manager Emily Rice. “Many Aussies grew up enjoying indulgent treats from The Cheesecake Shop, and its vegan options mean no one has to miss out!”

PETA – whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat” – notes that vegan treats not only help animals, but the planet, too, as opting for plant-based foods reduces your carbon footprint.
