In a Jetstar first, the airline has today launched an exclusive Aussie Holiday Packages sale where customers can ‘Fly a Friend for FREE^’ to some of the country’s most desired destinations.

The unprecedented week-long sale features a range of sought-after destinations including Tropical North Queensland, Gold Coast, Whitsundays, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart.

The incredible deals are available to customers who book a flight and accommodation package through Jetstar.com, allowing them to add an extra passenger to join them on the flight for free^.

The sale comes as new, Jetstar commissioned, nation-wide research revealed 85 per cent of participants are planning a holiday in the next 12 months — and 52 per cent have their sights set on Aussie destinations.

The survey of more than 1000 adult Australians also found that 20 per cent of respondents are looking to travel overseas and 27 per cent are planning both international and domestic trips in the next year.

When asked where respondents would most like to travel next with their mates, more than a quarter said a domestic trip was at the top of their wish list.

When it came to the perfect travel buddies:

  • 40 per cent of Gen Zs would opt for a group of friends or their bestie.
  • 34 per cent of Millennials and 61% of Baby Boomers would prefer to travel with their partner.
  • 42 per cent of Gen Xs chose to travel with the whole family.
