Spacious villas in Bali, country cottages in the UK, and hot tubs with a view in Queenstown are now available to book on Stayz, Australia’s original holiday rental company. Making its international debut today, Stayz now has over two million global properties listed, in 190 locations across the world*, available for Australians to book their next overseas holiday home experience.

The introduction of holiday homes in international destinations for Stayz, a Vrbo company part of Expedia Group,  is part of the growth plan to create a true global community of homeowners and travellers to make it easy and fun to travel better together on the world’s best travel platform.

International travel continues to boom for Aussies, with the allure of new places to explore driving them overseas more than ever before. Recent research** revealed that over 2.3 million Aussie’s intended to travel overseas between July 2018 to July 2019, up 7.2% from a decade ago. A key driver of this growth is Aussie’s increased intention to travel to Asian destinations. Indonesia tops the list for the most popular destination in Asia, with almost 1.05 million Aussies jetting there last year and the vast majority visiting Bali. New Zealand was the most popular destination for Aussies overall, with 1.43 million visitors last year.

Stayz will begin focusing on close to home destinations like Indonesia and New Zealand, catering for the demand of Aussies travelling together as a family or in groups, but will also offer homes in Instagram worthy destinations families and groups love travelling to including Europe, the UK, US and Canada.

The Bali villa life will also be a key experience that the company will promote to holidaymakers, listing more than 12,000 villas and holiday homes catering to the demand and offer services in select homes such as daily housekeeping, in villa chefs, to private jacuzzi and pools, the value for money that travellers get from a whole home compared to single room accommodation is appealing.

Select Bali listings will also have Virtual Tours to allow travellers to experience a 360 degree walk through of the property that they are considering booking. The virtual reality experience on listings have been included to satisfy the growing demand for interactive shopping experiences and reduce inquiries about the property they want to book. An example of a Bali virtual tour can be found at this listing in North Kuta.

For a limited time only, all Bali villas and holiday homes booked on the Stayz website until 30 September 2019 will have a free pool inflatable ready for guests to use when they arrive. The pool concierge service has been launched in partnership with experience company Klook to bring more Bali villa fun to your next Stayz holiday.

According to Simone Scoppa, Head of PR  for Stayz, the international debut has always been in the company’s pipeline:

“We have been building ourselves as a strong domestic brand specialising in Australian holiday homes for nearly two decades, and since being part of the Expedia Group it has always been part of our plan to offer Aussie travellers access to holidays homes globally. As one of the longest running holiday rental websites in the country, Stayz has the expertise to understand just what it is that Aussie globetrotting families need on their holidays, and they can now book a wide range of overseas holiday homes from a trusted holiday home provider.”

To provide Aussie’s with some international travel inspiration, Stayz has matched their most popular domestic travel destinations with its international equivalent based on destination, activities and holiday home type. See infographic below.
