Honouring Covid19 restrictions on travel ,   eGLOBAL nominated features writer Mark  Wm Sheehan to go along and fly our flag. Although small, this event may well prove to be monumental as it singled the very first travel and tourism media event in more than 6 months.  Our future progress in a post Corona landscape will be measured in small steps. Our collective hat is off to Tahiti Tourism and Evil Twin PR for helping to prime the pump.  Please, take a moment to peek over the fence to Tahiti Tourism’s launch of a ‘specialist training program’.  We understand there are nearly 400 travel agents already signed-on and counting…

eGLOBAL Travel Media will continue to support and distribute proactive and positive news from every point of the compass. “We’re all in this together”

Tahiti Tourism’s newly anointed/appointed Caroline Brunel is an articulate powerhouse when she lays open all the good reasons for Travel Agents to start planning Right Now!

Be ready for what current research trends suggest will be a travel tsunami in the wake of the Covid19 cloud cover.

This week, while other tourism bureaus, CVBs and destinations may still be circling the airport, holding-off, and ‘keeping their powder dry’ Tourism Tahiti unveiled to key stake-holders in travel media its proactive campaign. In the interim, Inspire, Enlighten, & Educate and Reward travel agents about the advantages of Tahiti as a holiday destination. The platform already boasts nearly 400 travel agents and tourism professionals signed up for its on-line ‘certification’ program.

In front of a small, socially-distanced gathering of Travel media, Caroline Brunel suggested the bounce-back post Corona, according to Tahiti Tourism’s findings would redefine the term “R & R” Travel because of intense pent-up demand. “I think in a post Corona setting, R & R travel might well be more like ‘Revenge and Reward’ Travel! Consumers have been pent-up long enough to feel they are owed a getaway to remember. Tahiti has never tried to compete with venues such as Bali or Fiji. Our uniqueness as a French venue adds to the lure of ‘splendid isolation!
