Box Hill Central will explore the exotic and authentic flavours of Asia when taking part in this year’s Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Celebrating its famous eateries that represent all corners of Asia, the Centre is offering visitors a chance to attend a series of VIP cooking demonstrations hosted by former MasterChef Australia contestant and Asian food specialist Khanh Ong alongside some of the Centre’s best chefs.

Across two days, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March, visitors will be invited to watch and participate in delicious hands-on cooking demonstrations, mastering the art of sushi rolling and refining their dumpling folding skills. The chefs will be bringing elements from each of their cultures and communities to show you all the tips and tricks as they create a bespoke recipe right before your very eyes.

Be inspired to get creative when cooking Asian cuisine as Kitchen Republik’s May teaches the art of dumpling making.

A sushi master chef from Sushi Jiro will dazzle with his knife skills and give all the tips in producing market fresh sushi for your family at home.

Celebrity chef Khanh Ong will bring his passion for Asian fusion and innovative Asian cooking to Box Hill Central as he hosts alongside the Centre’s chefs. Khanh will demonstrate just how easy and fun cooking Asian cuisine can be whilst also sharing his expertise and key techniques to cook and experiment using interesting ingredients at home.

These MFWF master classes will be a fantastic opportunity to refresh and update those everyday Asian recipes from the professionals. Limited places are available and each participant will receive a take-home bag of goodies.
