Get Your Hush Puppies on for Doggy Date Night at Moonee Beach

Reflections Holiday Parks Moonee Beach and RSPCA NSW will be getting their Hush Puppies on for an evening with our canine companions to raise much-needed funds for the Coffs Harbour RSPCA on 15 September 2018. http://www.itb-asia.com/press/media-services/accreditation/

Park Manager Kelly Shaw said the ‘Doggy Date Night’ event had already received a positive response from the community and the park was looking forward to dog lovers and families with dogs of all shapes and sizes to come and join the festivities.

“You don’t have to own a dog to enjoy this event and Moonee Beach is the perfect place to relax with your family, friend or pup,” Ms Shaw said.

“We are starting with a walk up to the headlands from the park and then returning for a fun sausage sizzle, face painting, a giant inflatable slide for the kids and an open air cinema showing, Secret Life of Pets.”

“There will also be local food venders onsite, including a pizza van so my two mini schnauzers, Penny and Leonard are looking forward to sharing some yummy ‘pupperoni’ slices with me.   Being a dog-friendly park, we are proud to work together with RSPCA NSW to raise funds for the great work they do with our furry friends at Coffs Harbour and surrounds.”

Doggy Date Night, held on Saturday, 15 September from 5;00pm – 8:30pm, includes:
• Relaxed walk to the headland and back
• Open-air cinema experience
• Enjoying a self-catered picnic or purchase food items from event vendors
• Purchasing tickets in the RSPCA NSW raffle
• Fresh popcorn via a gold coin contribution with free entry into a Lucky Door Prize raffle upon registration
• A large inflatable slide for registered attendees to use free of charge

There is a small registration fee for event attendees, with children three years and under admitted free.

RSPCA NSW Senior Manager Eliza Walker said families and dog lovers would enjoy a great evening while supporting an important service at Coffs Harbour.

“RSPCA NSW offers shelter, medical attention and love to animals of all shapes and sizes, as well as supporting community members in caring for their pets,” Ms Walker said.

“RSPCA NSW is a charity and receives only 2% of its funding from the government – the ongoing support of local animal lovers is essential in allowing us to continue our work. Doggy Date Night is a fun community initiative which will help raise those much-needed funds.”

Kelly Shaw urged people to get in quick and book accommodation for that weekend. “We still have a dog-friendly cabin available and plenty of bush camping so give us a call and stay for what promises to be a great community event.”
