Then from the countryside to the city of Trondheim, once the capital of Norway and now a modern edgy city with remnants of its’ historic at every turn.

Episode two sees David journey to Spain and one of the world’s oldest cities, Malaga. Discover the proud history of the city with its castles and defences against pirates of the 13th century, then venture into the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and the museum housing 233 of the works. Head inland to Cordoba and the world heritage listed Jewish Quarter, sitting alongside the cities largest landmark, the 24,000 square metre former mosque which is now a catholic cathedral. Then travel with David to Granada, a vibrant city and home to the magnificent Alhambra Palace and the Great Bazaar of Granada. Then onto the port city of Seville where Scenic Eclipse is able to dock overnight right in the city centre.

And so, Episode Three, onto the green hills of Ireland stopping at the port cities of Waterford, Dingle Cobh and Dublin. David kicks off his discovery of Ireland in the beautiful south west at the tiny village of Dingle perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Stopping at Cobh, embarkation point for 123 passengers of the Titanic and now home to a dedicated museum. From Cobh to Waterford, one of Ireland’s main shipping ports and home to a wealth of history in its famed medieval museum. And finally onto a merry stopover in Dublin, capital city and home to the Guinness emporium, Trinity College and the institution of Brazen Head, the city’s oldest pub dating back to 1198 and still serving pints to this day.
