Global Travel Media & Distribution Services Pty Ltd, publisher of Global Travel Media and Destination Thailand News has appointed US travel specialist Matthew Thomas as Publisher.

The appointment follows a major review to assess how Global Travel Media could further build on its success and gain stronger reach into the global travel and tourism industry to benefit users, customers and advertisers.

Matthew enjoys a wealth of experience in the global tourism and hospitality industry having previously worked for Alaska Airlines as Vice President of Sales.  Also, he has held sales and marketing positions for Air Canada, Continental Airlines and Thai Airways.

Matt is a former managing editor for Black Meetings & Tourism Magazine, a trade publication targeting the annual $70 billion African American MICE market and enjoys long-time experience in digital and lifestyle media. His experience also includes managing high-performing digital teams and developing and implementing editorial and SEO strategies.
