GLOBALIA, Spain first tourist group,  and its hotel chain BE LIVE HOTELS and the newborn  brand MELODY MAKER ,recently appointed Sergi Ruiz Piqué as the new Vice President Sales & Business Development for  the US market with direct reporting to Margherita Sgroi VP Global Sales.

He joins the company with an ambitious project aimed at strengthening the brands relationships and channels of communications with the leading networks of Tour Operators, Consortias and Travel agents in the U.S

At the same time, he will be responsible for the area of B2B, MICE and Weddings in the U.S., distribution channels in which Be Live & Melody Maker plan to increase its market share.

He brings more than 20 years of professional hotel experience with more than 10 years at RIU HOTELS and other 10+  years with MELIA HOTELS INTERNATIONAL, where he has been in charge of developing sales and marketing strategies for the US, Canada and Latin America.

With a degree in tourism from the University of Barcelona, he incorporated into his training various specialized courses in marketing and sales focused on the tourism industry. He will be based at the GLOBALIA’s Headquarters in Miami.
