Global hospitality group Millennium Hotels and Resorts is pleased to announce that one of its Singapore flagship hotels has won the International Title for Hotel Marketing at the 2019 International Hotel Awards. The International Hotel Awards celebrate excellence throughout the global hospitality
industry and across various properties and sectors.

The awards took place on 2 December at The Savoy in London and Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel was awarded the esteemed title, having been successful in both the Singapore and APAC awards, qualifying them for the global entry.

In May 2019, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel achieved five awards in the categories of Luxury Hotel, Luxury Convention Hotel, Luxury Hotel Marketing Singapore, Luxury Hotel Marketing Asia-Pacific and International 5-star Standard. The hotel then went up against the winners of all other regions in the hotel marketing category (Europe, Africa, UK, Arabia and the Americas) to come out on top once again.

Over and above winning this prestigious international accolade, 2019 marks the first time that Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel participated in the hotel marketing category and is the only Singapore hotel to be recognised for Best Luxury Marketing Internationally
in the history of the awards.

The International Hotel Awards is a global competition that determines the finest hotels and
hospitality companies in the world. The esteemed awards were developed to identify, highlight
and reward excellence throughout the global hospitality industry throughout a wide range of areas.

The awards are split into regions covering Asia Pacific, Arabia & Africa, the Americas, the
Caribbean, Europe and UK. Participants are judged by a highly experienced team of professionals
who cover the whole range of hospitality disciplines. There are 17 categories to choose from. 5-
star awards for each category are awarded on a national level before going on to compete on a
regional level. The regional winners automatically enter the overall International Awards, which
ultimately determine the world’s finest resorts and hotels.
