Couples can escape and rejuvenate this February on a romantic wellness holiday in Hawaii.  Immerse the senses in lush tropical gardens, stroll past gorgeous artwork and sculptures, indulge in spa treatments in a private spa hale and set mindful intentions on a shared journey to well-being on the secluded island of Lanai.

The newly opened Four Seasons Hotel Lanai at Koele, A Sensei Retreat offers an adults-only, all-inclusive escape that can fulfil a taste for adventure as well as nurture and pamper both body and mind.

A Spa Escape –The architecture of the spa hale was inspired by Japanese design and envisioned an intimate sanctum for healing and wellness, featuring a massage room with two oversized massage beds opening to a garden beyond, complete with private plunge pool. Each hale has infra-red sauna, steam shower, outdoor shower, changing area and bathroom along with lounging areas to relax or enjoy a healthy repast. The rich teak panels, gently infused light and artwork throughout the hale intermingle with the sounds and scents from nature and combine to create an environment that is elemental and yet luxury personified; an environment that nourishes.

Onsen Gardens – Step along the tiki-lit garden path to discover an oasis just for two.  A series of 10 onsen baths are scattered amid the trees and flowers, providing a private sanctuary for an evening bathing ritual.  Breathe in the scents of jasmine and lily and look above at a night-filled starry sky and wind down the day.

Yoga for Two – Book a private couple’s yoga session in studio or take the practice outside.  Choose from a variety of outdoor locations perfect for hearing the sounds of nature and feeling the refreshing mountain air while flowing pose to pose, including a beautiful platform overlooking the Reflecting Pond. Focus on personal interests, concerns or goals with personalised attention for greater rewards.

Sunset Sail – Climb aboard the Lanai, a 50 foot (15 metres) catamaran for a two-hour cruise along the scenic Lanai coastline with towering seacliffs rising almost 1,000 feet (300 metres) above sea level. Enjoy a cocktail as the sun falls below the horizon framed by the iconic landmark Puupehe (Sweetheart Rock), enjoy delicious pupus (appetisers) and perhaps even catch a glimpse of humpback whales or schools of spinner dolphins frolicking in the surf.
