HARP wallen Executive Recruitment’s Asia Pacific division is going from strength to strength. Twelve months after its launch, the business has seen exciting highlevel assignments and placements across a raft of travel and tourism sectors.

Leveraging the support and experience of group managing director Kristina Wallen and her team in London has been critical to the success of HARP wallen Asia Ltd, led by Hong Kong-based managing director Ian Stazicker.

From its office in Hong Kong, Harp wallen continues to cover large parts of Asia Pacific; including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, China and Japan, and has already extended its reach to the other rapidly expanding markets of Australia and New Zealand Wallen, commented: “I am delighted that HARP wallen made the decision to expand into this important global region. As predicted, we have seen a continued and increased demand from our existing clients who are looking to grow their presence.

“This trend for tourism and hospitality companies hiring senior executives in the Asia Pacific is a strong indicator of the cognition of the importance of this market.

Whilst the days of big ex-pat packages maybe a thing of the past, it is clear that potential candidates see the opportunity and excitement of relocating to this dynamic region”

Stazicker is an experienced tourism consultant with more than 25 years in the international tourism industry. Now with offices in Hong Kong and Sydney, he can offer a global network and a wealth of knowledge of key source markets having lived and worked in Europe, China and USA.

He has an in-depth knowledge of the travel, hospitality and luxury retail sectors globally, and, as founder and managing director of Nelian Consulting, is experienced at developing tourism strategies for organisations wishing to bolster their business in the APAC region.

Stazicker, said: “Not only have we been able to leverage Harp wallen’s existing clients in Europe and gain new clients in the region, it has also been a perfect time to provide executive recruitment services to the other clients in Nelian’s portfolio.

Wallen, added: “The combination of Ian’s skills and resources in the region, our recruitment skills honed over more than 20 years, and the growing need to source talented travel, hospitality and tourism candidates, have contributed to this hugely successful first year for HARP wallen Asia.

“The combination of our local and global expertise, as well as the ability to deliver the highest quality of candidates will continue to support this growth and position us as the leader in travel and tourism executive recruitment in the region.”
