Hawaiian Airlines is responding to increased demand for Hawaii during the upcoming Spring School Holiday period by increasing – from three to four – the number of flights each week between Brisbane and Honolulu from 16 September until 13 October 2019. “Hawaiian Airlines is responding to strong demand from the Queensland market for our flights from Brisbane to Hawaii; and beyond to the US Mainland,” said Andrew Stanbury, Regional Director Australia New Zealand at Hawaiian Airlines.

“We are also seeing significant uplift from other Queensland cities as a result of our expanded codeshare agreement with Virgin Australia that commenced earlier this year; allowing guests from Townsville, Cairns and Mackay to connect to Hawaiian’s services ex-Brisbane. Both factors made it an easy decision to boost capacity for the Queensland market during the peak school holiday period,” Mr Stanbury said.

The additional outbound services will depart Tuesday evenings at 9.45pm. Hawaiian also offers yearround Brisbane-Honolulu services on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

The additional Tuesday service adds another 18 Business Class, 68 Extra Comfort and 192 Main Cabin seats between Brisbane and Honolulu per week during the period, which coincides with both Queensland and Victorian Spring School Holiday periods.

From Australia, Hawaiian also offers one-stop services via Honolulu to 13 US mainland cities. Non-stop flights are offered between Honolulu and Boston, Las Vegas, Long Beach, Los Angeles, New York City (JFK), Oakland, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose and Seattle, with a total of more than 260 daily flights system wide.

Now in its 90th consecutive year of service, Hawaiian is Hawaiʻi’s biggest and longest-serving airline. It is also the leading provider of flights between Honolulu and Hawaii’s beautiful neighbour islands serving Līhu’e, Kaua’i; Kahului, Maui; and Kona and Hilo, Hawai’i Island, with approximately 170 daily flights. Flights between Honolulu and Moloka’i and Lāna’i are also offered through our turboprop operation, ‘Ohana by Hawaiian, in partnership with Empire Airlines.

Fares from Australia include one of the aviation industry’s most generous checked baggage allowances of 64kg per person (2x32kg bags), complimentary entertainment, drinks and meals designed exclusively by Hawaii’s acclaimed Chef Lee Anne Wong. From the moment you step on board your Hawaiian Airlines flight, you are embraced by the airline’s signature mea ho’okipa (translation: I am host) hospitality with its warm and friendly celebration of the culture, people and Aloha Spirit of the Hawaiian Islands.
