Melbourne’s most glamorous, luxury venue, Hotel Chadstone Melbourne, MGallery by Sofitel is throwing open the doors to Altus Rooftop Bar and celebrating the return of its indulgent High Tea offering.
Available every Saturday and Sunday and with unparalleled views of Melbourne’s skyline, High Tea at Altus will be the epitome of decadence as the much-loved tradition of delighting over sweet and savoury treats with friends and loved ones, comes back to Chadstone from 13 March 2021.
Perfect for small or large groups, Director of Culinary for Hotel Chadstone Melbourne, Deepak Mishra, has elevated the High Tea menu to such a level that will impress even the most seasoned High Tea connoisseurs. Savoury menu items include sandwiches with Blue swimmer crab remoulade with fennel slaw, yuzu, native lime and salmon roe; Yarra Valley smoked salmon, calamansi lime curd, and mountain pepper; and roasted chicken, balsamic onion, Davidson plum gel, salt bush and smoked marrow aioli. A mixed exotic mushroom and cheese pie with bush tomato relish and Gruyere and corn fritters with truffle emulsion, sit alongside the sandwich selection.
Moving on to the lower tier and it is a sight to behold. From the patisserie selection guests will delight in Salted caramel ganache tarts with single origin chocolate, golden hazelnut and Tasmanian berry dust; Passionfruit jelly and cream cheese with a lemon myrtle layered dome with pistachio sponge, and Artisan Chocolate truffles – to name a few.
A selection of warm buttermilk scones and orange blossom, white chocolate and lavender scones served with strawberry rose petal preserve, lemon curd and clotted cream round out the three tiers.
For the Tea component, TWG Tea is paired with the menu and guests have close to 10 varieties to choose from. For those that want to truly indulge, Veuve Cliquot Champagne, wine, cocktails and mocktails can be matched with the High Tea at an additional cost.
