In May this year, Hilton Hotels International will celebrate the huge milestone of the hotel chain’s 100th anniversary.
Taking a look at Hilton Brisbane’s General Manager, Chris Partridge and his 35-year career, it’s clear how the hotel giant has remained at the forefront of traveller’s mind’s worldwide for 100 years – customer and team member loyalty, opportunities for growth and an offering that never compromises quality. 

Chris has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, building his career from the ground up, with one goal – to be a Manager of a Hilton Hotel. During the completion of a Higher National Diploma in Hotel Management, Chris began his journey gaining work experience at the Hilton Kensington. Chris’s first role as Assistant Chef Steward at the Hilton Gatwick in 1984 involved countless hours of sweeping floors, washing pots and pans and emptying bins. But from here, he learnt the most important skills to propel his hospitality career – teamwork, developing relationships, judgement and resilience amongst others.

Across his career, Chris has experienced a variety of roles across a number Hilton Hotels including Food & Beverage Manager, Director of Operations and Director of Business Development that has lead him to his current role as General Manager at Hilton Brisbane. Chris’s longstanding input to the Hilton brand over his 35-year career has seen the company’s international offering go from 50 hotels to 5,500 hotels worldwide across over 100 countries. His extensive knowledge across a number of departments in the hotel has provided him with the tools to run Hilton Brisbane successfully and remain as one of Brisbane’s most premium accommodation destinations.
