Scenic World is welcoming visitors to the Blue Mountains this season, with reduced capacity meaning everyone is on a fast-track ticket these school holidays.From bushfires and floods to a global pandemic, 2020 will make a chapter of its own in the history books.
But Scenic World ticks all the right boxes for a memorable staycation, serving up breathtaking views and world class open-air rides, just 90 minutes from Sydney.
Like many things in 2020, a few things have changed. Due to physical distancing, the Scenic World
experience now includes all open-air attractions in a pre-approved circuit, called the Scenic Route.

• Descend into the Jamison Valley on the Scenic Railway
• Stroll under the canopy of a temperate rainforest on the Scenic Walkway
• Glide past the iconic Three Sisters on the Scenic Cableway
Scenic World has also reduced its capacity by more than 50% as part of its extensive COVIDsafe plan which is centred around the safety and wellbeing of visitors and staff.
Ride cabins are sanitised after each journey, all rides are deep cleaned every two hours, hand sanitising stations are readily available on site, and face masks now form part of the Scenic World staff uniform.
Scenic World Managing Director, Anthea Hammon, said the Blue Mountains was open for business these school holidays, with reduced capacity providing a more intimate visitor experience.
“Some things have changed but our trademark views remain the same, making the Blue Mountains a must for Sydneysiders looking to escape the city these school holidays,” she said.
