IHG®, (InterContinental Hotels Group), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, announces the opening of the new-build 100-room Holiday Inn Express® & Suites Ensenada Centro hotel in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. It becomes the brand’s first property in the leisure destination.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ensenada Centro hotel opens its doors after an investment of more than USD$100 million made by the property owners. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Ensenada’s tourism resort area on Av. Blancarte 151 Centro, surrounded by restaurants and stores, and is near the cruise ship port and the Ensenada Convention Center.

Both a business and leisure destination, Ensenada in Baja California has become well-known for the wine routes which run from the San Vicente Valley to Valle de Guadalupe in Northern Baja California. Another attraction to the area is the Bajamed local cuisine which incorporates the abalone, lobster, hedgehog and tuna fish into different dishes. Ensenada is located on All Saints Bay in the state of Baja California Mexico and 110 kilometers (75 miles) south of the border with the United States. Ensenada is renowned for its natural and tourist attractions, national parks, cave paintings, a spectacular marine geyser called La Bufadora, located 35 kilometers south of Ensenada, and its deep underwater canyons.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ensenada Centro hotel is managed by Operadora Hotelera Rayma, S.A. de C.V, and is franchised by an affiliate of IHG and is part of IHG’s diverse family of brands in nearly 100 countries and territories.

The Holiday Inn Express property’s 88 guestrooms all feature a modern design with the option of a comfortable queen, king-size, or two double high-quality beds with a choice of firm or soft pillows for a restful night’s sleep, a sitting area with a lounge chair, flat-screen TV, iron and ironing board, and an in-room coffee machine with complimentary coffee. The hotel’s 12 junior suites are also all-equipped with a refrigerator and microwave.
