A quarter of a century has passed since Private Property Holiday Homes transformed the face of accommodation rental in Western Australia. http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/Since then the company has revolutionised the way travellers book luxury homestays, pioneering the experience for everyone to live like a rock star, even if just for the duration of a holiday.

Back in 1994, when the concept of Private Properties was born, the idea of renting a stranger’s home to live in whilst on holiday was virtually unheard of. Such opportunities, where they existed, were often poorly furnished, under-utilised second homes that provided few guest amenities. Luxury was certainly not a term usually applied to such accommodation.

The notion that such an idea could prove beneficial for both owners and renters was the brainchild of Perth-based property management duo, Rosie Harris and Felicity Ruse. Already running a successful business that focused on short term luxury property rentals in the city, the pair realised that clients with beach houses in towns such as Eagle Bay and Yallingup were failing to make the most of their assets. The entrepreneurial ladies rolled up their sleeves and got to work creating a database of likeminded home owners who would be prepared to rent to those travelling to the region.

Defying much scepticism, and with only the now virtually obsolete mediums of advertising such as leaflets, newspapers and brochures, the idea took hold. When word spread to the British expat market in nearby Asia, Harris proclaimed, “That was the real turning point. We went from being a small local operation to having a significant international market”. By marketing the most prestigious of lavish homes that owners were happy to upgrade and furnish to the highest of standards, travellers benefited from a standard of accommodation that simply wasn’t available in the past, householders saw an uplift in their property income and locals were delighted by the rise in real estate standards.

In 2005, David and Jody Moyes joined the team, taking over as owners in 2013. This customer service orientated couple continued to build the luxury theme, further refining the company aim of over-delivering on customer expectations. Many proven favourites that were marketed all those years ago are still available to rent today, providing customers from around the world with the opportunity to holiday in some of the most sought after holiday locations in Western Australia. With online marketing providing the freedom to offer a gallery showcase of each luxury property, including that of video brochures, the ability to discover how to embrace the millionaire holiday lifestyle genuinely has become a reality for all.
