Horizon Lake View Resort (”HLVR”) extends its congratulations to the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”) and Myanmar on the recent successful visit of President Xi Jinping for the purpose of enhancing “baopo”, or relations between the two countries.

President Xi’s January 17-18 visit to Yangon commemorated 70 years of bilateral ties between the two neighbours who enjoy strong historical, economic and diplomatic relationships. Myanmar and China’s relationship dates back to 1950, when the two countries formally established diplomatic ties.

HLVR in Naypyitaw, owned and managed by Asia World Hotel Company Ltd., hosted President Xi and his delegation during their visit to the Myanmar capital. The resort is part of Myanmar’s National Guest House Project and has hosted many Heads of State.

President Xi was welcomed at Naypyitaw International Airport, which is also operated and managed by Asia World’s subsidiary, Pioneer Aerodrome Company Ltd.

Mr Jerzy Wilk, CEO of HLVR, said: “It is a great honour for HLVR to host President Xi and the PRC delegation. With 2020 being named ‘Myanmar-China Year of Culture and Tourism’, we look forward to more overseas visitors, especially those from the PRC, to Myanmar – a country of natural beauty and scenic sites which is also well known for its hospitality.”
