How do you go on vacation during Corona times? Guests report from the Green Pearls@ Hotels

Just a few weeks ago, travelling was out of the question. Since then, most hotels have been able to open their doors again, albeit under strict regulations. But how does a hotel stay under Corona conditions really feel? The Green Pearls® partner hotels have asked their guests.

HUBERTUS unplugged

At the HUBERTUS unplugged, almost everything is running normally again. Though, of course, masks are worn and shaking hands is avoided. The breakfast buffet is available once again, but only with the use of biodegradable disposable gloves. Some guests found the fact that saunas had been temporarily closed a positive, as it meant their holiday to-do list became one activity shorter. However, now nothing stands in the way of a sauna stay! The areas are completely disinfected twice per day which helps to ensure guests are relaxed yet safe, and cannot spend too much of their day in the sauna.

Holidaymakers wanting to socialize and get to know each other has posed a challenge for the hotel team. But managing director Marc Traubel is sure: “We will find a solution for this!”

Hofgut Hafnerleiten

Hofgut Hafnerleiten has moved many of its activities outside. The aperitif takes place in the inner courtyard and dinner is delivered directly to your room. Breakfast is also brought to the guests by individual arrangement. For the team, these changes have been going better than expected. Their guests even expressed the desire to also be able to book these new options after the Corona crisis.

Enthusiastic travellers:

“Due to the Corona circumstance, the service was particularly creative.”

“We stayed at the Hofgut during the first week of the Corona reopening and at first, we were missing the evening “family dinner” (especially the company of the other guests). But to be able to pick up our starter and dessert at the aperitif, and then to hear a knock at the door half an hour later and have the main course hand-delivered: a holiday at its best”.

Okelmann’s

In the Green Pearls® hotel, Okelmann’s many things are also going better than expected. The guests are grateful for the opportunity to be able to spend some time away from their daily life at all. The large grounds and the limited rooms of the hotel make it possible to keep your distance. The staff provide their excellent service while wearing masks, but the guests themselves do not have to wear a mask at the table. The team always ensures the rooms are well-ventilated and the many terraces invite guests to enjoy the outdoors during good weather.

The individually arranged breakfast has been especially well-received by their guests. Meals are served in the café or in the rooms, and guests are enjoying the rich selection according to their wishes.

SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA

Especially the breakfast buffet in the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA is praised by the guests in the current situation. The hotel team serves the food and there is still a rich selection. With preserving jars a creative approach to the situation was found.

The guests are also enthusiastic about the always friendly staff, who have kept their good mood.

Corona also showed regular guests:

“We were always very satisfied. We will certainly be happy to come back again”.

Bio Familienhotel Gut Nisdorf

The new regulations mean that procedures have changed somewhat at the Bio Familienhotel Gut Nisdorf. However, the families that visit are still very happy about the time off from everyday life. The large property makes it easier for everyone to keep their distance, and movement around the hotel is based on a “one-way street” system so that guests will not have the chance to run into one another. Instead of the usual buffet, food can be served in the rooms or outside. Although this eliminates some enjoyable conversations in the dining area, they can just as easily be held in the fresh air.

And this is what one guest had to say:

“I felt that the protective measures gave me a special crown to wear as a guest! It even felt a little bit more personal, since now, for example, you are served at the bar while the Head Chef prepares a freshly fried egg for you breakfast basket which is then handed over the bar to you to enjoy wherever you like. It is quite a nice experience.”
