At the glittering awards ceremony in Jakarta, Indonesia, Sava Spa at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach received an incredible grand total of three wins at the Spa & Wellness Tourism Award 2019, whilst InterContinental® Bali Resort received a well-deserved accolade as The Best Culture Spa.

Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach’s Sava Spa had successfully won The Best Spa in 5 star Resort in Indonesia, making it the first national-level award to be received by the talented spa team. Adding the sweet cherry on top of this achievement are two of Sava Spa’s team whom also shone on a stage during the award ceremony. Proudly scooping the accolades from Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach are Dewa Ayu Indah Laksmi, who won the Best Junior Spa Therapist in Indonesia, and Made Dwi Jayantini who was awarded with the Best Spa Receptionist in Indonesia.

While InterContinental® Bali Resort boasting a prestigious address in the island, the Spa Uluwatu received the title of The Best Culture Spa 2019. Spa Uluwatu has a balanced approach to health and beauty, where wellness-centered spa experiences unite body and mind, inspiring freedom of spirit.

The name ‘Uluwatu’ comes from ulu, meaning ‘lands end’ and watu, meaning ‘rock’. It is home to Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple, notable as one of six key temples believed to be the spiritual pillars of Bali’s Hindu culture. Uluwatu’s dramatic limestone cliff-top, located on the south-western tip known as the ‘Bukit Peninsula’, is renowned as one of the island’s best sunset vantage points.

Spa Uluwatu’s signature collection of spa rituals, body treatments and beauty therapies is inspired by  magnificent white sand beach and its ocean with ‘health by water’as the Resort is blessed with a serene ocean-front landscape and combined with Balinese rich wellness heritage. “We are honored to receive this award. Sava Spa comprises several serene treatment and relaxation rooms for the ultimate Bali spa escape. Sava Spa has two lounge areas, one for pre-treatment and one for post-treatment. Facilities include 10 treatment rooms, which consist of six couples massage rooms, each one with a shower facilities and one of them comes with a bath and a dedicated steam room. Sava Spa also has four massage rooms for singles (with shower facilities) and a dedicated reflexology room that can accommodate six people. Our manicure and pedicure parlour has four pedicure stations, two manicure tables and features designs that resemble a vintage apothecary.

Sava Spa at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, also have a 24-hour Health Club with wellness programs and state-of-the-art fitness equipment such as yoga space, power stretching, free weights, cardio equipment, martial arts bag and floor zone and TRX suspension training. The health club is dedicated to providing an environment for workouts that are functional and intuitive, and in line with the resort’s holistic approach to body and mind wellness.

This inaugural Spa & Wellness Tourism Awards 2019 designed to offer spa and wellness facilities the opportunity to earn national recognition through its concept, quality and consistency, yet to prove Indonesia is the renowned world’s spa destinations. The recognitions were announced during the award night which attended by the Indonesian Minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya along with some other reputable names within the industry.
