Spread the love

Take wine tasting to the next level when you visit Western Australia’s Margaret River region with one of Howard Park’s exclusive new Wine Chapel private wine and culinary experiences.

In the luxurious surrounds of the iconic winery’s private Wine Chapel, guests can sip and sup their way through four private tasting experiences.

Howard Park is known as West Australia’s House of Sparkling so Margaret River’s only Methode Traditionnelle tasting experience will be a must for bubbles lovers. Guests of The Art of Sparkling will sample a wide range of award-winning drops, discovering the nuanced terroirs of their Margaret River, Great Southern and French vineyards. A local farm-sourced charcuterie selection will be ready for them following the tasting accompanied by a glass of their favourite sparkling, with views over the forest or vines. ($120 per person, minimum 2 guests)

Marron is one of the region’s most sought-after local delicacies and Howard Park has paired the freshwater crustacean with other delicious native foods, matched with a generous array of their wine, for a Bacchanalian-inspired feast provided by a private chef. Feast with your friends on a lazy afternoon while enjoying the chapel and its stunning vineyard surrounds. The Private Marron & Native Foods Experience is a four-hour treat for $295 per person ($150 per child aged 17 and under).

Being on the coast, Margaret River enjoys fresh seafood catches, and Howard Park is celebrating local fruits of the sea with an indulgent Seafood Experience. Wild-caught Indian Ocean seafood is paired with a generous array of Howard Park wine in a long-table grazing lunch prepared by a private chef. $295 per person ($150pp per child aged 17 and under).

A further experience is the  Private Group Tasting and Regional Tasting Platter – where guests will enjoy a showcase of both the Howard Park and Marchand & Burch ranges, sampling a wide range of varietals, discovering the nuanced terroirs of the winery’s three vineyard locations. A local gourmet cheese and charcuterie selection from regional producers will be served following the wine tasting. Retire to the Chapel’s private lounge or outdoors on the terrace to linger a little longer with a glass or two of your favourite Howard Park wine from the tasting. ($120pp)

Howard Park’s wine chapel was built with sumptuous private food and wine experiences in mind. Architecturally-designed and featuring natural timbers and polished concrete, the chapel is beautifully furnished, and chandeliers made from 45-year-old vines from their oldest vineyard are a stand-out feature.

Wine Chapel Experiences are available to book daily from May to October, and Tuesday to Thursday from November to April. They must be pre-booked with a minimum 48-hour cancellation. The Wine Chapel at Howard Park is located at its Leston Vineyard property, 543 Miamup Road, Margaret River.
