InterContinental Bali Resort is delighted to welcome Mr. Adrian Upward as its new Culinary Director.

Adrian is a New Zealand national who brings a wealth of culinary experience to the resort. His career has taken him to various locations around the globe to lead multi-cultural teams and share his passion for good food that is cooked with integrity.

Adrian Upward started his career in the hospitality industry over 30 years ago. He had the opportunity to perfect his culinary skills across a variety of international chain hotels from Le Meridien Cyberport Hong Kong, Marriott Hotel & Spa Yalong Bay, Sanya, Hainan China to Movenpick Tower & Suites Doha, Qatar. Adrian joined IHG in 2013, as an Executive Chef at InterContinental Regency Hotel Bahrain. He comes to Bali direct from Australia and where he fulfilled the role of Chef Patron at Coonara Springs, Olinda, Victoria.

Adrian’s appointment as Culinary Director at InterContinental Bali Resort heralds a renewed focus on the Culinary arts. He inspires the members of his team and delights discerning travelers with his flavorsome cuisine. Adrian draws on his perfectionist nature and high level of self-discipline to elevate guest satisfaction to the next level.
