Following my previous email on July 25, the INTERNATIONAL CRUISE SUMMIT will take place this year on 1st & 2nd December, for what will be its 10th anniversary. This year’s ICS  has been conceived as a HYBRID EVENT;  live sessions with delegates and speakers in person at the same time as those attending online.

The registration will open next month for both options, either in person, or online.
As the circumstances that we are living are exceptional and changing, we will remain flexible to readapt to future developments.

This year, more than ever, ICS is the place to be to discuss and analyse the unprecedented present and moreover the future of the worldwide cruise industry and the key factors for its recovery. The event will retain the successful formula which has made it one of the most important cruise conferences in the industry, whilst at the same time, adding new insights and adapting the format to both audiences in line with the latest government regulations.

All the sessions, networking , discussions, presentations, and exposure will have been adapted to deliver a fruitful and enjoyable summit. Please visit www.internationalcruisesummit.com where you can now find the list of the first confirmed speakers, who amongst other prominent professionals both inside and outside the industry, include Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Tom McAlpin, President and CEO of Virgin Voyages and  Peter Deer, Managing Director of Fred Olsen Cruise Lines. We are working with the venue to ensure a successful social-distancing  event as well as our audio-visual company to ensure a seamless show. As we have both speakers and delegates from the USA  and other regions, the timetable for the event will be as follows, although is subject to change as we get nearer, of course.

We will start to release more specific details of the sessions next month, which is also when registration for delegates will commence. As this year the event will be open to online delegates, this allow us to reach many more countries and the platform will bring more networking options.

The programme will include presentations on the emerging new strategies of cruise companies, the keys of the success Europe’s first cruises,  passenger sentiment and strategies to recover the confidence of the consumer , new industry partneships, new cruise lines, the changing fleet, the latest review of the orderbook and much more.

The International cruise summit and the Meliá Castilla Hotel will ensure the rigorous application of the health and safety recommendations made by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and national health authorities.
