Intrepid makes internal promotions for growth

Intrepid Travel has announced two internal promotions to manage record growth as it reports 16% global growth YTD.

Brett Mitchell, currently Managing Director for APAC, has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer and will report to CEO James Thornton. 

Sarah Clark, currently General Manager of Marketing for APAC will replace Mitchell’s role as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand. 

“With only a few months left of this year, these roles solidify our 2020 strategy. As we grow with purpose, 2019 is on track to mark our fourth year of record growth,” Intrepid Travel CEO James Thornton said. 

“Now we are planning our 2025 strategy, and these two roles will be vital to delivering our ambitious goals,” Thornton said. 

Mitchell’s new role as Chief Commercial Officer has a global remit to oversee sales, marketing and revenue management for Intrepid’s three regions of EMEA, APAC and the Americas. 

Clark has been GM Marketing APAC for almost two years. Prior to that Clark was at Topdeck and STA, most recently as Global General Manager for Topdeck, based in London. 

The role of GM Marketing will be recruited for in the coming weeks.
