Investree (PT Investree Radhika Jaya), Indonesia’s leading marketplace lending, announces a ‘green financing’ partnership with the social enterprise Java Mountain Coffee to enable Java Mountain Coffee form a sustainable coffee partnership with Alila Resorts Bali, offering guests in-room farm fresh sustainable Indonesian coffee.

This first ‘green financing’ partnership with Java Mountain Coffee will assist Java Mountain Coffee make in-roads to the travel and tourism sector in Asia, with their advocacy to stakeholders in the industry to STOP using plastic and aluminum coffee capsules which is causing irreversible damage to Mother Nature.

Investree ‘green financing’ partnership with Java Mountain Coffee will provide financing for in-room coffee capsule machines through a ‘Working Capital Term Loan’ that will give Java Mountain Coffee the opportunity to offer a selection of certified biodegradable Nespresso® compatible coffee capsules, filled with farm-fresh sustainably Indonesian coffee grown by all-women membered cooperatives in Bali and West Java.

The ‘Working Capital Term Loan’ is one of the productive loan types from Investree that utilizes the uniqueness of the borrower’s business model such as working with digital payment partners and/or logistics service providers, having work contracts in progress, and using point of sales (POS) application.

In this case, financed through Investree, Java Mountain Coffee’s sustainable coffee partnership contract with Alila Resorts Bali will finance in room capsule machines, so to provide guests with farm fresh sustainable Indonesian coffee which empowers women entrepreneurs. This is a unique and important value which Investree and Java Mountain Coffee wish to highlight.

According to the World Bank, Women-owned, Women-lead SMEs, or Women-empowerment initiatives in developing countries can’t get the capital they need; they face an estimated credit deficit of nearly $1.5 trillion per current estimates. It is nearly impossible to start or sustain a business without access to capital.

Less than 30 percent of formal small and medium enterprises (SMEs), or empowerment initiatives around the world are owned, run or lead by women. Women entrepreneurs themselves face numerous challenges to financing, owning, and growing a business, including legal and policy obstacles to business ownership and development.
