IR Transfer Booking Tool A Winner

February 19, 2018 Rail No Comments Email Email

INTERNATIONAL Rail’s innovative global booking system International Transfer has been a great success with travel agents generating more than 500 registrations since the scheme launched three months ago.

The program, which is a simple and reliable one-stop shop allowing trade partners to book transfers all over the world in just 60 seconds, was introduced in response to requests from agents seeking a simple solution to a common problem.

“Overwhelming feedback from the industry was telling us that making transfer arrangements with the unreliable methods previous on offer was fiddly and continually causing frustration to customers and agents,’’ says International Rail’s director Jonathan Hume.

“We found the answer with our new American partner Mozio which manages the state-of-the-art system we’re now offering.

“We are thrilled with the reaction because the vast majority of agents that registered have already progressed to making their first booking, with many finalisingmultiple reservations every week, which indicates the service is on target.

“All the transfer operators available within the system have been heavily vetted because the platform has been successfully performing for some time and already used by large corporate and retail agents around the world.

“Mozio’s service is enhanced by local partner International Rail which offers support with information and training as well as important advice on how to minimise the risk of issues occurring on the ground.

“To give an example we ensure, where possible, that a meet-and-greet service is booked so clients see a friendly face in the arrivals hall at the airport rather than searching for a driver in the sea of vehicles outside.

“We have already received bookings for a variety of destinations – from India to Hong Kong and Sicily to Sydney – and while most of the transfers involve airport arrivals and departures a growing number of bookings are getting customers to and from cruise ports, railways stations and private addresses.’’
