Homegrown UAE brand JA Resorts & Hotels has completed an employee vaccine drive at JA The Resort in which of 80% of all eligible employees across 7 Dubai hotels and resorts, have received the first dose of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccination.

The voluntary and free vaccine was made available to all staff at an onsite location over a two-day period, and the health authority approved vaccine was administered by 11 nurses and 1 doctor. More than 600 JA team-members decided to take the vaccine, resulting in a 80% pick up rate from the companies overall current UAE staff. Complimentary transportation was arranged for all team-members during working hours to receive the vital vaccine. On the second day, the vaccine was also offered to the family members of staff.

Robert Mikaelian, Vice President of Human Resources said; ‘Our hard-working and dedicated team deserve to be protected as a priority, as they are the smiling faces of the Dubai hospitality industry and our most valuable asset. We wanted to provide a hassle-free way for our team to receive the vaccine as quickly as possible and we were delighted to see that huge numbers of eligible team-members who volunteered to take it, after our successful in-house vaccine marketing efforts. This vaccine not only protects our team but should also serve as a reassurance to guests – that we truly do all that we can to keep them safe and comfortable.’

JA Resorts & Hotels have also officially received the #DubaiAssured Stamp, following a health and safety verification process implemented in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing #DubaiTourism, the Department of Economic Development and Dubai Municipality. The stamp indicates that all currently open properties have adopted, and constantly maintain, all necessary precautionary measures and the highest safety standards and protocols. JA The Resort has also implemented the protocols of the World Travel & Tourism Council’s #SafeTravels programme. Safe Travels allows travelers to recognise governments and businesses around the world which have adopted health and hygiene global standardised protocols and has received the backing of the influential United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
