Jared Green utilizes his near-two decades of international expertise in the luxury hospitality sphere as Director of Sales and marketing at The Sanchaya. Leading boutique resort, The Sanchaya, is a tranquil, beachfront bolt hole offering world-class service and experiences on Bintan island.

Originally from Melbourne, Jared obtained a Diploma in Hospitality Management at William Angliss Institute, and started his career working at several hotels within Australia before moving to London in 2003. Here, Jared worked as the Night Manager at Blakes Hotel; designed by Anouska Hempel, the hotel has become known as one of the world’s most fashionable boutique hotels. Jared later worked at the exclusive Baglioni Hotel in London, before joining Firmdale Hotels ahead of the launch of Haymarket Hotel.

In 2009, Jared moved to the Middle East to further pursue his passion for luxury travel and hospitality, rising through the ranks in establishments across Bahrain and Dubai – including Raffles Dubai. In 2011, Jared joined the esteemed Song Saa Private Island Resort; having started as part of the pre-opening Sales and Marketing team, he was later promoted to Director of Sales, taking responsibility for the overall sales and marketing strategy for the resort. Following almost four years at Song Saa, Jared spent two years working as Director of Sales at The Strand Hotel in Myanmar. During his time here, he played an integral role in the reopening of the property and the launch of luxury river cruise ship, The Strand Cruise.

When he’s not busy creating unique experiences for The Sanchaya’s discerning, international guests, Jared enjoys spending time in the gym trying new types of workouts and experimenting with cooking healthy recipes – he’s a self-proclaimed wellness freak, though he loves entertaining friends just as much!

Throughout his time in Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and Indonesia, Jared has developed a passion for Asia and its unique cultures and vibrant populations. He also loves to explore new destinations and, outside of Asia, his favourite place to visit is Africa.
