Jet Airways, India’s premier, international full-service airline, announced the launch of their second daily flight from Singapore to Bengaluru with effect from 15th March 2018. This service has been introduced in response to growing demand on this sector particularly from business and corporate travellers and will offer guests new & more convenient travel options.

The introduction of the second frequency to Bengaluru also forms part of Jet Airways’ focus to strengthen its presence in Bengaluru as the carrier’s upcoming third hub, aside from those in Mumbai and Delhi, in its endeavour to facilitate seamless onward connections for guests across its global network of 64 destinations, including 44 in India.

The new daily flight – 9W 26, will depart from Bengaluru at 02:05 hrs (IST) and arrive into Singapore at 09:15 hrs (LT), allowing corporate and business travellers to get a head start on their day. Aside from providing choice for corporate travellers, the new timings of the new flight are also expected to make it of significant interest to the fast expanding MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) segment in Bengaluru.

During its return journey, flight 9W 25 will depart from Singapore at a comfortable time of 10:15 hrs (LT), arriving in Bengaluru at 12:10 hrs (IST), allowing guests arriving in Bengaluru to travel onwards to destinations such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mangalore, Pune and Trivandrum using convenient connections on Jet Airways’ extensive domestic network.

With the introduction of the second frequency between Singapore and Bengaluru, Jet Airways cargo capacity will now double on this route to offer 5000 kilos each way.

From Singapore, the primary commodities being shipped are electronic goods and accessories, computer parts and peripherals. Whilst from Bengaluru, the primary commodities which are uplifted for Singapore are perishables, flowers, garments, computer parts and accessories.

The new service importantly, will give movement of goods to access the Amsterdam market and other destinations in Europe. This is made possible with a daily connection from Singapore to Amsterdam via direct dallies operating  between Bengaluru and Amsterdam.

Colin Neubronner, Sr. Vice President – Commercial, Jet Airways, said “We are delighted to announce launch of our second daily direct service on the highly popular Singapore-Bengaluru route, which has been necessitated due to growing traffic demand in the corporate and information technology segment. Both Singapore and Bengaluru are popular destinations for information technology, tourism, trade and investment, therefore it was only logical for Jet Airways to facilitate the same for the traveller. In addition, connecting traffic from Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane/Perth in Australia, Jakarta/Bali in Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur/Penang in Malaysia and Nadi in Fiji over Singapore booked on aligned flights with partner airlines is also growing rapidly. The combination of comfort, great Indian hospitality, world class in-flight services and attractive frequent flier benefits makes Jet Airways the perfect option for travellers to India and beyond. Jet Airways has established itself as a premier brand on account of its service excellence serving the Singapore-India sector for over a decade. We are confident that this new second daily flight to Bengaluru would prove equally popular with our guests”
