Rooms: Room types include Superior, Deluxe Corner, Executive, Executive Suite, Day-Use and Accessible.

Price: from about $180 per night.

Wifi: Free in guest rooms and public areas.

Parking: Yes, off-street self-parking available, with $40-per-night charge; valet parking available at extra cost.

Dining & drinking: Mobius Bar & Grill is open seven days till late; it serves buffet breakfast with a  wide selection of fresh fruits, cereals, breads, pastries and hot menu items; a la carte breakfast available; bed-and-breakfast packages available; after breakfast the area morphs into a bar which is also a restaurant open for lunch and dinner; the restaurant is excellent and features an open kitchen and modern Australian menu incorporating a broad tapas-style selection for scrummy sharing.

Swimming pool & gym: Fit Lounge on second floor has wide range of modern equipment for those who want to exercise.

Laundry & dry-cleaning: Yes, at extra charge.

Cooking facilities: No.

Mini-bar: Yes.

Individually controlled air conditioning: Yes.

In-room safe: Yes.

Iron and ironing board: Yes.

Cable channels: Yes.

Tea- and coffee-making facilities: Yes.

Comfort level: High as befitting its claimed five-star rating.

Sleeping arrangements in standard room: King-size bed; rooms available with two king-size beds; crib supplied on request.

Gown/slippers: Gown no; slippers yes.

Bathroom: Ensuite with walk-in rainshower.

Hot water: Plentiful, good pressure.

Towels: Good quality; plentiful.

Storage space: Adequate.

Desk & lighting: Adequate desk, with good natural light.

X-factor: Great airport location; and close to one of Sydney’s newest dining areas of Mascot, Waterloo and Alexandria; its own seven-day restaurant, Mobius, is excellent, both for groups and individuals.

Try it out: Don’t make a habit being a stay-away parent and find some time to spend at the Pullman Sydney Airport with the family. Save 50 per cent on a second room for the kids, who get breakfast for free. And stay in bed with a 2pm check-out arranged.
