We all know of Africa’s famed ‘Big 5’, the wild animals that are such a magnet for travellers from around the world. Next month, PONANT Yacht Cruises & Expeditions are inviting avid adventurers and keen explorers to join them and spot the ‘Big 5’… in the Kimberley!
Hosting their first live online event on Tuesday 1 September, PONANT gives you the opportunity to discover Australia’s Kimberley’s ‘Big 5’, some of the top experiences to have along this magnificent North West coastal jewel.
On Tuesday 1 September, attendees will be able to tune in and listen to a panel of PONANT’s in-house Kimberley experts – Mick Fogg and Sandrine Erwin-Rose. As regular expedition leaders to the Kimberley (Mick has undertaken well over 130 expeditions there), they are joining host and Business Development Manager Craig Farrell, for PONANT’s first online live event.

Mick Fogg – Head of Expeditions Asia Pacific
As an award-winning wildlife photographer and adventurer, Mick has spent the past 17 years leading expeditions and photographing some of the world’s most remote destinations from Antarctica to South East Asia. Mick has designed itineraries and led over 300 expeditions through Antarctica, the Sub-Antarctic Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, The South Pacific, The Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Malaysia. Returning each year, Mick ranks the Kimberley as one of his top three destinations worldwide.
Sandrine Erwin-Rose – Expedition Operations Manager Asia Pacific
Sandrine’s role involves organising various aspects of voyage logistics,
recruitment, and planning for Expedition cruises in the Asia Pacific region. Sandrine’s knowledge and enthusiasm makes her a favourite with guests in her role working as Expedition Leader on board PONANT’s ships, taking guests to explore incredible destinations and sharing unforgettable experiences. With a Tropical Zoology, Ecology and Marine Biology background, it is no wonder that the Kimberley is one of her favourite destinations.
