José María Ávila joins today Kenes Group as the new Vice President Business Development for Iberia and Latin America.

Based at the Madrid Office of Kenes Group, Ávila will be responsible for leading the business development team to consolidate the Group’s expansion to Portugal and LATAM, while also reinforcing the existing markets and services.

An accomplished event professional, José María comes with over three decades of experience in the international events sector. He has taken top managerial positions with some of the most prominent Spanish PCOs, agencies, and DMC companies. He has also an extensive academic background with degrees in Tourism, Computing, and Administration, Commerce, and Marketing, and a master’s degree in High Management by Instituto Internacional de Estudios Empresariales San Telmo (IESE).
