KLM has been offering flight information via KLM’s verified WhatsApp account. Passengers can choose to receive booking confirmations, check-in notifications, boarding passes and receive flight status updates all via WhatsApp.
KLM’s Family updates keeps family and friends updated
KLM is now the first airline to offer a new WhatsApp service called ‘KLM Family Updates’, a service that allows travelers to invite their inner circle to a dedicated WhatsApp group.. Members will receive notifications when the KLM flight has departed, how the flight is progressing and when it has landed. The group members can even request the latest flight status by sending a question: @KLM, where is John?”
Bas Hogendorf, Country Manager Philippines is enthusiastic about this new service, especially for travelers from the Philippines and said:
‘KLM has daily flights from Manila to Amsterdam and it being one of the longest flights in our network, travelers from the Philippines, who are often away from home for a long time, will be delighted with this new service to keep their family and friends updated so loved ones can stay informed about their journey.”
