Last week Koro Sun Resort and Rainforest Spa were proud to host the United Nations and Fijian Government for a symposium surrounding the health and future of coral reefs, a topic the resort is extremely passionate about.

The symposium discussed the vital role of reefs and what measures can be implemented to help preserve the delicate underwater eco-systems that surround not only Koro Sun Resort and Rainforest Spa, but the whole of Fiji.

United Nations Environment Programme executive director Erik Solheim said:

Koro Sun Resort and Rainforest Spa is where rainforest meets reef and adventure meets ultimate serenity. In the unspoiled native north on “Fiji’s other big island” of Vanua Levu, the 160-acre sanctuary was born of a nature lover’s dream. It is no secret that Savusavu is home to some of the most spectacular coral reefs in the world, boasting the largest soft-coral species on the planet, so the resort made the perfect location for this important symposium.

From the serenity of the tropical rainforest villas to the crème-de-la-crème two-storey villas overlooking the stunning azure waters, guests are spoilt with beautifully furnished, fully air-conditioned accommodation for ultimate comfort and relaxation.

All guests staying at the resort can enjoy complimentary guided snorkeling tours so they can explore the stunning reef that surrounds. This also includes complimentary daily breakfast and ground transfers to/from Savusavu airport, a freshly chilled green coconut drink on arrival, complimentary Koro Kids club and nanny service, plus 25 complimentary nonmotorized resort activities and cultural
