To celebrate L.A.’s culture of diversity and inclusiveness, a collection of L.A.’s top hotels are joining forces to launch “Endless Summer“, a promotion designed to encourage travellers to make the most of the city’s amazing weather by extending their stay, free of charge.Created by Discover Los Angeles and the International Gay & Lesbian Tourism Association (IGLTA), the program offers four nights for the price of three for stays from September 15 to November 15 at participating hotels when booked through the following landing page: www.discoverlosangeles.com/endlesssummer.

There are some incredible hotels in the line-up, including:

  • Freehand, DTLA: Created for a new generation of traveller, Freehand is a high-design ‘poshtel’ in L.A.’s Historic Core offering private and shared rooms. Head up to the rooftop pool and lounge to relax in affordable luxury.
  • Hotel Erwin, Venice Beach: Situated overlooking Venice Beach and the iconic boardwalk, this hotel is the place to be in summer. Enjoy a cocktail at the rooftop bar or use it as a base to enjoy this beachside town’s vibrant scene.
  • Hotel Figueroa, DTLA: Emerging from a two year restoration, this historic hotel now features five bars and restaurants, an iconic pool to soak up the endless sunshine and a museum worthy art collection.

All participating hotels are LGBT friendly, supporters of IGLTA and meet non-discriminatory and diversity standards.

As a side note, we thought you might find it interesting that L.A. has a long history of acceptance and ground-breaking advancements in the LGBTQ+ movement, including the world’s first LGBTQ+ parade in 1970 and now the celebration of LGBT Heritage Month every June. Last year, during the launch of Discover L.A.’s Everyone is Welcome initiative, they ensured they paid homage to their LGBTQ+ visitors.

Chief Marketing Officer of Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, Don Skeoch, commented “Los Angeles has a distinction worldwide of being a city that fully embraces diversity, inclusivity and acceptance and L.A. Tourism recognises the importance of visitors who self-identify with this important affinity market. L.A.’s sophisticated lifestyle, vibrant cultural scene and creative industries help make it the home to one of the largest LGBT communities in the world. It’s absolutely critical that our destination continues to fully support global LGBT Tourism and that we allure this valued audience with our incredible array of offerings – from Silver Lake, L.A.’s original gay neighbourhood, to beach cities like Venice.”
