Australia’s only LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre will reopen to the public on Thursday 4 June 2020, following the Victorian Government’s recent easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

Families can venture out to the ultimate indoor LEGO® playground, which has implemented several new measures to ensure the health and safety of all visitors and team members.

“We are excited for guests to return to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and have been working behind the scenes to ensure the attraction is a safe and fun place for families to visit. Moving forward we ask that all guests, including our valued annual pass holders, pre-book their timeslot in advance,” said Katie Isaac, General Manager at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre.

The attraction is moving forward with a cashless approach with all visitors being requested to pre-book tickets online. The daily capacity has been reduced to allow for social distancing and the best possible guest experience. Enhanced cleaning measures have been introduced to disinfect LEGO and high-frequency touch points. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s industrial cleaning machine is being used to clean LEGO bricks three times per day. Social distancing controls are in place for play areas and café tables. All measures are in line with government advice and the full list of health and safety measures is available at https://melbourne.legolanddiscoverycentre.com.au/updates/

“We can’t wait to welcome guests back inside the attraction so we can continue doing what we do best – creating bricktastic experiences for families! Whether it be creating LEGO masterpieces, jumping through the soft play zones, watching 4D movies or racing LEGO cars, there is plenty of fun and playful learning to be enjoyed at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre,” continued Katie.

“Whilst the attraction has been closed to the public since 23 March, our adjoining retail store has continued to operate with additional social distancing and sanitary measures in place. During this time, we have also launched an online retail store and brought joy into many homes through our program of free live streams, which have had phenomenal feedback!”

Hosted by Master Model Builder Kieran Jiwa, the live streams have included building workshops, interviews, Q&As, LEGO product reviews and have given kids all over Australia the opportunity to share their awesome LEGO creations and interact with Kieran. Now kids are welcome to come and meet Kieran in person!

For a limited time only, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is offering guests a 20% discount on admission tickets!

Located at Chadstone Shopping Centre, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is home to a LEGO model of Melbourne, various build and play zones, two rides, a 4D cinema, retail store and much more!
