Corporate Traveller is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Lisa King to the position of General Manager West Australia.

Lisa King has been with the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) for over 13 years and with Corporate Traveller since 2012 – playing an instrumental role in the growth of the business, as a member of the WA management team for four years. In her new role Lisa will oversee the Perth office which incorporates some 40 staff, including six travel teams.

Lisa has extensive experience managing people and overseeing operations and will bring a fresh dynamic to the region and the FCTG Senior Leadership Team. With her strong business acumen, Lisa is committed to driving the business in WA by working in partnership with clients to help them achieve their business goals – and to make their travel faster, easier and more cost-effective.

“As a born and bred West Australian I am thrilled to be taking on this role, especially at a time when we are seeing a positive outlook for the resources sector which continues to show promising signs of growth,” says Lisa. “With our client portfolio being heavily resource sector based, this makes it an exciting time to be taking the helm.”

Lisa knows WA like the back of her hand, through both her personal and business travels – including time spent as a full-time journalist for the Western Australian.

“I understand the genuine challenges faced by businesses, which are located in remote and isolated regions,” says Lisa. “They have to travel long distances and factor in time differences even within Australia, so it’s our job to make their essential travel as comfortable and seamless as possible.”

The announcement of Lisa’s appointment was closely followed by the launch of Corporate Traveller’s new online booking technology – Savi. This new generation tool uses artificial intelligence to deliver a more intuitive OBT experience. Setting a new benchmark for the industry, Savi has been developed as a joint initiative of the FCTG and technology company Serko. However, Lisa is quick to point out that experienced and professionally trained travel managers will always be at the forefront of the business.

Lisa has a host of business accolades and awards to her name, and she is a proud West Australian in every way – ‘supporting the ORIGINAL West Australian AFL team – go Eagles!’
