The operators of North Beach Kitchen in Wallaroo launch their new Food & beverage event “Wallaroo Blue Crab Festival” bringing the freshest local Blue Swimmer crab direct from the fisherman, prepared by local chefs with a beach front festival vibe. The event is on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th of October 2019.

North Beach Wallaroo is a fantastic location and is the most accessible beach on the Yorke Peninsula. We identified a demand for fresh local seafood and have partnered with Blue crab fishers “Two Gulf Crabs” to supply locally caught Spencer Gulf Blue Swimmer crabs direct to the festival.

To compliment the fresh local crabs a selection of wines from Clare valley wine makers “Stonebridge wines” will be available at the event. As well as multiple gin bars pouring “Kangaroo Island spirits” Gin cocktails with luxurious garnishes and the best tonics and mixers.

Entertainment ranges from acoustic performers to DJs and children’s entertainers. Three sessions are available over the event, with a family friendly day scheduled for Sunday the 27th of October with free entry for kids. Tickets are available via Eventbrite for all sessions.

We have tried to capture the theatre of a crab feast, newspaper lined tables, printed crab bibs and wooden mallets let attendees get into the “hands-on” spirit of a true crab cook up. This event allows us to showcase beautiful Wallaroo in all its glory, beachfront views, glorious local Blue Swimmer crab and quality South Australian beverages.
